Deborah M. Colton Deborah M. Colton is the founder of Deborah Colton Gallery, an international contemporary fine arts gallery, of which Colton & Farb Gallery is now a part. She has lived and worked in Tokyo, Bangkok, New York, Miami, Houston and Dallas. Colton serves on the Boards of Exit Art and Artadia National Advisory Council in New York as well as on the Boards of The McKinney Avenue Contemporary (The MAC) and the University of Texas Artist in Residency CENTRALTRAK in Dallas. Deborah Colton’s passion for the arts started as an artist and then as an art patron while living in Asia, after having a successful business career. Deborah’s inspiration through the Gallery is to help create positive change through the artists and the arts. Past projects include sponsoring the Yoko Ono IMAGINE PEACE Billboard art piece in a prime location going into downtown Houston, in conjunction with the Gallery’s 2006 WORD exhibition. |

Carolyn Farb Arts benefactor and native Houstonian Carolyn Farb has collaborated with the Deborah Colton Gallery to create the Colton & Farb Gallery. Carolyn’s personal collection mirrors her sense of adventure, combining an innate sense of beauty with a continually-evolving aesthetic. Her own collection ranges from Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema to Rene Magritte, David Forrester Wilson and the Warhol Factory-influenced artists to Texas’ own Robert Rauschenberg and Julian Schnabel. Frida Kahlo’s La Venadita (The Little Deer) travelled to museums across the globe with Carolyn. She brings her dynamic sense of aesthetic and commitment to excellence, reflected in her signature style, to her position as Creative Director for the Gallery. |
